what happened Euron? A bloody battle ensues between Euron and the Dornish Sandsnakes. Euron kills Obara Sand (Keisha Castle-Hughes) by first disarming her, snapping her spear in half and then impaling her with the broken pieces. He then kills her sister Nymeria Sand (Jessica Henwick) by strangling her with her own whip.

So the show made Euron call out Jaime for a fight when Jaime was only looking to save Cersei and even expected Euron to help. Euron called for a fight because he had to be killed off and a loose end tied off. What if Jaime Lannister was removed from the Kingsguard for killing King Aerys?
No, he's dead. But it's a fair point. Even his last line — "I'm the man who killed Jaime Lannister" — makes it feel like Euron views his own death as a moment of triumph.
