Dishwasher. Dishwashers usually last between 10 to 15 years. They are very easy to repair and often times it’s a matter of one or two parts being out of place. This easiest way to tell if your dishwasher needs a repair is if your dishes aren’t getting clean.
Is it worth repairing a 10 year old dishwasher?
If it’s only a few years old and the repair cost is less than half of what a replacement would cost, you’re better off repairing it. If the repair cost is more than half of replacing it, or you’re at or past the 7- to 10-year mark, you’re better off replacing it with a new model.
