Plants cut back to ½ inch (12mm) will quickly regrow. Cress is most tender at the early seed-leaf stage; harvest cress well before it matures. Sprouts can also be used fresh.
Will cress regrow after cutting?
Does cress regrow after you cut it? Basically not. However, often there are still small seedlings among the already mature plants. They may still be able to thrive after a first harvest.
Can you keep growing cress?
Common cress is the easiest to grow and can be grown indoors and outdoors, providing an all year round supply. It needs very little attention apart from ensuring the tiny plants are kept moist at all times.
