The centripetal force of a body is directly proportional to it’s mass, directly proportional to the square of it’s speed and is inversely proportional to its circular radius.
Does mass affect centripetal force?
Note that mass does affect centripetal force. If you double the object’s mass, you’re going to need twice the central force to keep that object going around the same loop at the same speed. Great question.
What does centripetal force depend on?
Three factors which affect the centripetal force are: mass of the object; its speed; the radius of the circle.
