Email delays can be attributed to the size of the email and its attachments, network latency, or occasionally issues with spam/virus scanners getting backed up. Most often, it’s a case of sender or recipient client delays. Many mail clients only communicate with the server to send or receive new mail every few minutes.
How do I fix a delayed email?
- Open the delayed message (In the Outbox)
- Click on the Options and Click on the Delay Delivery option.
- Now uncheck the Do Not Deliver Before option and Click OK.
What causes emails not to come through?
Misspelling of email addresses is a very common reason for emails not being sent. It’s very easy to miss out a letter or a dot in an email address, which will result in it not getting through. You should always double check addresses when you’re sending to a new recipient to avoid this.
