When should I spray MSMA?

Herbicides containing MSMA are most effectively applied when grassy weeds such as crab grass and Dallis grass have emerged in the early spring and are actively growing. Repeat applications may be required through the late spring and summer.

Will MSMA kill my lawn?

A: MSMA is very efficient in killing existing grasses within bermudagrass turf. Applied at the recommended rates, and sprayed in June or July, when the bermuda has taken on its dark green summer appearance, the worst it should do is yellow the bermuda until the next mowing.
