What Branch Is Eod

As an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist, you’ll be the Army’s preeminent tactical and technical explosives expert. You’ll have the advanced training and critical skills needed to disable and defeat explosive devices and weapons of mass destruction.

What branch of the Army is EOD?

Active Duty / National Guard EOD: EOD is available for both Active Duty and National Guard. Army National Guard (ARNG) lieutenants are selected for EOD training by the States with EOD units and are not a part of our accessions mission.

Is EOD its own branch?

Four branches of the military have their own EOD forces (the Space Force is the only DoD branch without EOD). They are organized differently in each branch but are generally considered a support field. Although the Navy at one point had EOD under their Naval Special Warfare Command, that is no longer the case.
