Sweat bees are tiny in comparison to your standard honey bee. They range from 3–10mm in length, some the size of a fingernail, some so small you might think they were ants or tiny flies. Sweat bees are known in the bee world for exhibiting a metallic, shiny and vibrant lime green colour.
What are the little bees that don't sting?
Stingless bees are also known as stingless honey bees or meliponine bees. They are native to tropical regions including Africa, Australia, Asia and tropical America. Females have stingers, but they are small and weak, and not capable of imposing a defensive sting.
