The ‘Sinarapan’ or ‘tabios’ is probably the world’s smallest commercially harvested fish found only in the Philippines, and endemic in Lake Buhi and other areas. Contrary to common belief, however, sinarapan is not the smallest fish known.

Sinarapan which is scientifically known as Mistichthys luzonensis is the world’s smallest commercially harvested fish and is found in Lakes Bato and Buhi in Camarines Sur, part of the Philippines’ Bicol Region.
