Tris has gotten a tattoo of the Abnegation symbol to mark its importance to her identity.

Where did Tris get her tattoo?

Tris is inked with three ravens on her collarbone, which she explains in the book as “a reminder of where I was…a way to honor my old life.” The birds represent each of the members of the family she leaves behind when she chooses to join the Dauntless—her mother, father, and brother.

Who gives Tris a tattoo?

Tori doesn’t want to talk about the secret thing, which is that Tris is Divergent. But she will give Tris a tattoo to help remake her identity and remember who she is: three birds in flight.
