Is Group Therapy for Everyone

Group therapy is not for everyone and may not be comfortable for some people. Group therapy does have a high rate of success for individuals seeking relief from relational disorders. The added benefit of acquiring social interaction skills while attending group therapy is a deciding factor for many individuals.

Who is group therapy appropriate for?

Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only. Many groups are designed to target a specific problem, such as depression, obesity, panic disorder, social anxiety, chronic pain or substance abuse.

Is group or individual therapy better?
