How Do Car Sun Shades Work

How Do Car Sun Shades Work

There are several variants of car sun shade types. Typically, sun shields are made of a layer of mylar or aluminum foil which covers the inside of the car’s windows, to reflect the sun’s rays away, and preventing the interior from being exposed to those rays.

How tight should a sun shade be?

Caution: Do not over tension, tension only by hand, and only tight enough to remove creases. Over tensioning can cause damage to your Shade Sail. Your sail should be firm and tight to reduce windflap. After 30 days, check the tension and re-tighten if required.

Are sun shades worth it?

So keeping the temperature down within your interior will help protect materials from breaking down and reduce off gassing. With that being said, a cheap sunshade can certainly help keeping these two issues at bay. It can protect one’s health, keeps a vehicle looking good, and maintains it’s value.
