How Do Camber Plates Work

Camber plates are basically adapters for your vehicle’s struts. They replace the stock strut top mounts that connect the strut to the chassis. But unlike stock strut top mounts, which are fixed, and can not be adjusted in any way, camber plates allow a wide range of adjustment of your camber settings.

How do adjustable camber plates work?

Aftermarket caster camber plates actually come as a set of two plates that overlap each other, as opposed to the single strut plate used from the factory. Overlaying the individual plates allows you to dial in the exact setting you want, without affecting the other.

How much camber does a camber plate make?

Normal camber on the stock bolts is around 1.2 max. If you get additional camber bolts (top and bottom) you can get about 2 degrees max.
