Caution is required to prevent breaking your fine crystal, glass, or plastic bowls (metal bowls are not affected). DRY ICE will settle to the bottom causing extreme cold conditions which can virtually shatter the base area. To avoid breakage, use small pieces (half dollar size) sparingly.

What kind of container can I put dry ice in?
Don’t store dry ice in an airtight container. As the ice sublimates, the build-up of gas could cause the container to explode. Instead, use a well-insulated container, such as a cooler with the lid only loosely closed (not latched), and you’ll be fine.
