First, slice about a quarter inch off of each end of your lime or lemon. Then cut the fruit in half, lengthwise, and set one of the halves cut side-down on your cutting board. Finally, slice it at an angle, lengthwise, and you should have a perfect little wedge.
What kind of knife do you use to cut limes?
Use a small, sharp knife like a paring knife or a utility knife to cut the tip off both ends of your lime. The lime should be able to sit flat if you stand it up on either end. Don’t cut deep enough that you expose the flesh of the time.
How thick should the slices of lime or lemon be?
Cut the slices 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Wash limes thoroughly before cutting.
