Do they sell MSG in grocery stores?

You can buy food grade Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) locally at most supermarkets and even some convenience stores. It’s commonly sold as Accent brand flavor enhancer – but be sure to check the ingredients if you need 100% MSG, as that brand offers many “blends” that contain spices and other ingredients.

What is MSG and why is it bad for you?

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a flavor enhancer commonly added to Chinese food, canned vegetables, soups and processed meats. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified MSG as a food ingredient that’s “generally recognized as safe,” but its use remains controversial.
