POLYWOOD® lumber is made from a proprietary blend of thermoformed plastics (including post-consumer bottle waste, such as milk and detergent bottles or other post-industrial material), UV-inhibited pigment systems, foaming compounds, and selected process additives.
Is POLYWOOD real wood?
Does POLYWOOD contain wood or natural fibers? POLYWOOD is made from HDPE and does not contain wood or any natural fibers.
Is POLYWOOD toxic?
Because it’s made strong and built to last, it helps to reduce the demand on wood from endangered rainforests. Unlike a lot of treated wood lumber, POLYWOOD is made with no toxic preservatives, making it a great option for those with young children and those sensitive to the smells of certain chemicals.
