The Griffith Observatory is open Weekdays (Friday) 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m. Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Closed Monday through Thursday. The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is open to the public five days per week (Wednesday through Sunday) from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
When did Griffith Observatory reopen?
The Governor of California, Mayor of Los Angeles, and other public officials broke ground for the project on October 30, 2002, and construction started soon thereafter. Theater and exhibit installation took place mostly in 2004-2006. The building reopened to the public on November 3, 2006.
