Days Gone is a fun post-apocalyptic road trip simulator, but the things it does well are ultimately overwhelmed by the dreary story, repetitive missions, sluggish controls, and lifeless world. It's great seeing more PlayStation exclusives coming to PC, and long may that continue.
Is Days Gone that bad?
When Days Gone was originally released in 2019 it had the worst critical reception, and the worst first week sales, of any modern, big budget Sony exclusive. Nobody hated it though, and it certainly wasn't a financial bomb, but being inoffensive and unremarkable is something few video games are allowed to be.
