The eunuchs squatted to urinate, and both urethral strictures and incontinence must have been common, because some eunuchs carried silver quills for self-catheterization, presumably because of strictures (7), and others used a removable plug (Fig. 2c) to prevent incontinence (31).

How do UNIC pee?

Several eunuchs hold him down as a sharp knife severs the penis and testicles in one swift movement. A metal or wooden plug is inserted into the wound to stop full closure and leave an aperture for the passage of urine. Hot oil is poured over the area and herbs are placed on it to hasten the healing process.

Can eunuchs have babies?

Hermaphrodites, commonly known as eunuchs, can now choose a gender of their liking and some can even give birth to babies, thanks to a special procedure developed at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
