These animals have a lifespan of about 10-18 years of age while those in captivity stay alive up to 20-21 year. The oldest known ibex was 21 years and three months old. They live in packs but in different segments.
Where does Ibex live?
ibex, any of several sure-footed, sturdy wild goats of the genus Capra in the family Bovidae (order Artiodactyla) that are found in the mountains of Europe, Asia, and northeastern Africa. The European, or Alpine, ibex (C. ibex ibex) is typical.
How long does an ibex live?
At four to six months, a kid is weaned. It will remain with its mother for at least a year. Females will go on to have their own young at 2 to 6 years of age. The life span of ibex in the wild is about 17 years.
