Measuring your sleeve length is about more than just knowing your arm length. Dress shirt sleeves are measured from the nape of your neck to your shoulder and from your shoulder to your wrist. This means you'll need to take two separate measurements to find your proper sleeve length.
How do I know my sleeve length?
To measure your sleeve length:
- Measure from the center back of your neck (at your spine) to the end of your shoulder at the top of your arm.
- Measure from your shoulder to just past your wrist bone to where you would like your shirt cuff to sit.
How long is sleeve length?
The sleeve length is measured from the center back of the neck, just below the collar, over the shoulder and down to the end of the cuff. This is an industry standard way of measuring the sleeve length.
