Lore quickly tried to take over the ship and was beamed into space thanks to a clutch move by Data. But Lore didn't die; he and Data separately responded to a homing beacon (as seen in the episode “Brothers”) activated by their “father,” Noonian Soong.

Why is Data's brother called Lore?

"Data" indicates a piece of logical/rational information (a datum) while "Lore" indicates a piece of folklore, a bit of legend tied up in (presumably unreliable) oral tradition and emotion.

Is Lore in Star Trek Nemesis?

The crew finds another android, B4. Just like Data, also built before him like Lore, but Lore is never mentioned. It even seems like he was never a concept based on crew reactions.
