After Rogue permanently absorbs Ms. Marvel's psyche and Kree powers, she reforms and turns to the X-Men, fearing for her sanity. Rogue's real name and early history were not revealed until over 20 years after her introduction.

Who did Rogue absorb her powers from?

As a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants, Rogue would fight the Avengers and later steal the powers from a woman named Carol Danvers (aka Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel). As a result she had her abilities and memories.
