In Where Wisdom Is Found, J. V. Fesko helps us think through the book of Ecclesiastes and demonstrates how it finds its fulfillment in the crucified and resurrected Messiah. Ecclesiastes addresses many of the troubling ambiguities of life, revealing the futility of this world.
Where do you find wisdom?
Wisdom is a virtue that isn't innate, but can only be acquired through experience. Anyone who is interested in trying new things and reflecting on the process has the ability to gain wisdom. By learning as much as you can, analyzing your experiences and putting your knowledge to the test, you can become a wiser person.
Where is true wisdom found?
True wisdom comes in hearing the words of God, and doing them. True wisdom comes through fixing our eyes on our crucified and risen Lord, Jesus Christ – the one whom Paul called the power and wisdom of God – trusting in his death to deal with our sin before God, and in his resurrection to assure us that this is so.
