Red Flag 21-1 kicks off at Nellis
Southern Nevada residents may notice an increase in military aircraft activity from Jan. 25 through Feb. 12 as Nellis begins Red Flag 21-1, one of the U.S. Air Force's largest combat training exercises.
How often is red flag?
Exercise Red Flag is a two-week advanced aerial combat training exercise held several times a year by the United States Air Force.
Is red flag going on at Nellis?
Red Flag-Nellis traditionally happens three times a year. Red Flag 21-3 is July 19-Aug. 6, 2021. We will announce future exercise dates a few days before they are set to begin.
