Try using the Add/Remove Programs tool from Windows to remove any existing version of BandLab Assistant or Cakewalk by BandLab that appears. You can keep any older versions of SONAR if you have them, just remember to choose Do Not Remove Shared Folders if uninstalling any versions.

There is no progress bar to illustrate that anything is happening but files begin to download as soon as you click on the install button. There are a lot of files in the initial download so reported download times of 30 - 45 minutes are not uncommon.
