How Does an Iron Work?

Ironing works by loosening the bonds between the long-chain polymer molecules in the fibers of the material. While the molecules are hot, the fibers are straightened by the weight of the iron, and they hold their new shape as they cool.

The electric iron consists of the metal that conducts the electric current. Mainly the iron is used. Since they conduct the current fast and convert it into thermal energy. This electric iron works on the principle of the heating effect of electric current. The metal gets heated when the current flows on it.
