Paper and ink supplies were fully restored shortly after the end of hostilities and weekly publication of The Beano and The Dandy soon followed. As of 2019, over 4000 issues have been published. The Beano is currently edited by John Anderson, who replaced Craig Graham in 2016.

The rare annual was described as being in 'very good' condition, with vibrant colours and no rips, however the original owner's name and address is written in the front. The issue reached its top price in a eBay auction earlier this month.
