Why Is Acceleration Halved?

Why Is Acceleration Halved?

The acceleration is equal to the net force divided by the mass. If the net force acting on an object doubles, its acceleration is doubled. If the mass is doubled, then acceleration will be halved. If both the net force and the mass are doubled, the acceleration will be unchanged.

Why is acceleration half?

The v0 and x0 come from the constants of integration, and are given by the initial conditions. Another reason there's a one half: after time t has passed, the velocity is a0t+v0. But it hasn't been going that speed the entire time, it started at v0. So the position must be less than v(t)t+x0=a0t2+v0t+x0.

What is acceleration if force is halved?
