An ethics hotline is an anonymous on-line system and/or phone line an employee can use to report bad behavior. Hotlines are anonymous so as to protect employees from retribution from angry peers or retaliation from supervisors or managers that may be implicated in the complaint.
What happens when you call the ethics Hotline?
These hotlines are available 24/7, so that employees can report behavior when they feel most comfortable. Once an employee reports some form of issue, the operator who takes their call then passes the tip along to the appropriate department and manager.
Are whistleblower hotlines anonymous?
Yes. If you are a whistleblower and ask to remain anonymous, we will keep your identity private. We may need to get your contact information for follow-up questions. We may need to know your identity if you can provide documentation about the suspected unlawful activity you are reporting.
