Lotion is a tricky stain because lotion contains both water and oil. The stain can be more difficult to get out due to the oil in the lotion. Just throwing the stained item in the washer will not remove the stain. You will have to use a special cleaner that is made to remove oil.

How do you get a lotion stain out of clothes?

Apply a liquid detergent directly onto the stain and gently rub in. Let the liquid detergent sit on the stain for 10 minutes. Wash in the hottest temperature that is safe for the fabric. Check for remaining lotion, sunscreen and cream stains.
