What are the Bollinger B1 and B2 release date? This has been a moving target for years with delivery dates pushed back regularly thanks to engineering difficulties and development problems. Currently, Bollinger says production will start in late 2021.
Why is Bollinger so expensive?
Why so expensive? Craftsmanship factors into that price; Bollinger is hand-assembling these trucks. But much of the reason for it is that battery technology remains costly, and the B1 and B2 need a massive 120-kWh battery — far larger than anything Tesla, Porsche or Jaguar uses — to get an acceptable 200-mile range.
What is a B1 motor?
The B1 features two electric motors—one is located at the front axle, while the second drives the rear—which combined make 614 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard and Bollinger estimates a 4.5-second zero-to-60-mph time.
