Will Quantum Computers Become Mainstream?

Judging by the sheer number of startups in the space, as well as the millions of dollars in funding, quantum computing seems to be the next big thing in tech. Experts' projections back that up: by 2025, the quantum computing market is projected to hit $770 million.

Will quantum computers ever become mainstream?

Studies have already predicted that quantum computing will become a multibillion-dollar quantum industry as early as 2030. In fact, quantum computing and quantum communication are poised to have a transformative effect across a multitude of industries, ranging from healthcare and energy to finance and security.

Does quantum computing have a future?

Quantum won't entirely replace classical computing – not in the foreseeable future, anyway – for many computational tasks it won't offer any real advantage. For the types of complex calculations that it does excel at, though, we can expect to see computers that operate hundreds of millions of times more quickly.
