Gentrification Now Takes Food Stamps
After nearly two years in Harlem, gourmet market Citarella became a bit more community-friendly last week by finally accepting EBT cards—what used to be known as food stamps.
What places accept EBT?
Restaurants that accept EBT include:
- Burger King.
- Carl's Jr.
- Church's Chicken.
- Del Taco.
- Denny's.
- Domino's Pizza.
- Great Steaks.
- Jamba Juice.
Which stores accept EBT online?
Yes, if you get CalFresh benefits, you can purchase groceries online at Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Amazon, and Walmart using your EBT card. You can purchase the same food you would normally purchase in the store. At this time, cash assistance EBT benefits can only be used at Walmart.
