Dilute with normal saline to a final concentration of 15 to 150 units/mL depending on the size of the extravasation; larger areas of extravasation require a greater total number of injections to circumvent the site, and therefore more dilute injections must be used to administer the total dose.

How do you administer hylenex?

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Lightly pinch the skin up into a small mound and insert the needle/catheter into the subcutaneous space. Inject HYLENEX recombinant through the catheter hub or injection port closest to the needle/catheter. Begin administration of solution. Solution should start in readily.

Can you mix hyaluronidase with water?

Hyaluronidase may be reconstituted with either saline or water for injection (Hyalase SPC). Saline is less painful on injection and is recommended for this reason.
