Testing the Fingerprint Reader
- On the diagnostic main screen, scroll down in the list of devices, and then tap Fingerprint Reader.
- On the Fingerprint Reader screen, tap Device Selection.
- Tap Select to select the fingerprint reader device, or tap the Devices List drop-down and select your device.
- Tap Acquire Fingerprint.

At the Start screen, type device manager to open the Search charm, and then select Device Manager in the search results. In Device Manager, click Biometric or Biometric Devices to expand the list of recognized biometric sensor devices.
How do I check my fingerprint drivers?
Open the Device Manager, and then expand the Biometric list of recognized sensor devices. Right-click the device, and then select Properties. Select the Driver tab. The driver version is displayed.
