What Is Straining Wire?

Straining Line Wire
Our straining wire, often referred to as tensioning wire and line wire, is available as PVC-coated or galvanised. These rolls of wire are used to run along the top of fencing, and the wire is put under high tension ensuring the fence remains straight and upright.

What do fencing pliers do?

Fencing pliers are designed to provide every function necessary for erecting or repairing a fence. The striking area on the front of the head hammers staples into wooden posts. At the other end, a curved claw can lever out even well-embedded staples.

How do you strain fence netting?

Strain the wire

Attach the wire to be used in the fence to one strainer assembly, then using a Wizard® wire strainer and/or Wedgelock clamp (for pre-facbricated wire), strain the wire at the other strainer assembly. Check tension with a Tenser Senser®. Over tension slightly as you'll lose some tension when tying off.
