Balmoral Park is an equestrian facility located just south of Crete, Illinois, United States. It operated from 1926 to 2015 as a horse racing track.

What happened Balmoral Park?

It was purchased out of bankruptcy in 2016 for $1.6 million by New York-based Horse Shows in the Sun, or HITS, which undertook an extensive renovation and conversion to host horse jumping events. The first such events took place in 2017.

Her Majesty the Queen began her annual summer holiday at Balmoral at the end of July, and 2 August marked the day that the castle closed its doors to the general public.
