How is indicated airspeed calculated?

The system uses the difference between the total pressure (measured by the pitot probe) and the static pressure (measured by the static ports) to determine the dynamic pressure which is converted to an airspeed reading.
What is indicated speed?
Indicated airspeed is the speed at which the aircraft is flying as indicated by the airspeed indicator. The private jet speeds are determined either mechanically or electronically using the difference between total pressure and static pressure.
