After the horde is defeated, the townspeople build up the town and form a relationship with the Hilltop Colony and come into conflict with the Saviors. In the seventh season, Alexandria falls under the control of Negan and the Saviors who confiscate all of the community's weapons and destroy all of their mattresses.
