Blintzes are these fantastic little thinner-than-crepe pancakes, filled with good stuff (sweet or savoury) and rolled up. They can be served warm, cold or at room temperature - depending on the filling. Blintzes filled with a sweet cheese filling have become a traditional holiday food in Israel for Shavuot.
Can cheese blintzes be served cold?
The blintzes should only take a maximum of about 3 minutes total to finish cooking. You can serve these blintzes hot, warm, or cold.
How do you warm up blintzes?
To reheat, just place in a pan with butter and fry until it's warmed or microwave for 20 seconds on high. Serve alone, with topping such as I did with blueberry pie filling or dust with confectioner's sugar.
