Manuel Francisco dos Santos, nicknamed Mané Garrincha, best known as simply Garrincha, was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a right winger. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, and by some, the greatest dribbler ever.
Where did Garrincha go?
The footballer was buried in a cemetery in Mage, the area of Rio de Janeiro in which he was born. An administrator for the site said: "There's no certainty that he's buried. We have information that the body was exhumed but there is no document that proves this."
How did Garrincha died?
After a series of financial and marital problems, Garrincha died of cirrhosis of the liver on 20 January 1983, in an alcoholic coma in Rio de Janeiro.
