Cut your Statice with a 12-18 inch stem when the flower bracts are about 3/4 open. The remaining bracts will open as they dry. Hang the Statice upside down in a dark room with good air circulation. The flowers generally dry in 7-10 days.
When should you dry a statice?
Be sure to harvest statice (Limonium sinuatum) after the dew evaporates, to decrease drying time as well as risk of mold. Early morning is the best time to harvest. Since the idea is to dry the flowers, however, you will want to wait until the dew has evaporated.

Growing Tips
Statice is a must for cutting and drying. Cut when most of the flowers in the cluster have opened fully and hang them in small bunches in a warm, dark place to dry. Statice is attractive in beds and borders where it can be a filler with other annuals.
