When you push the WPS button to make a new connection, the light next to the WPS button will keep blinking until a connection is made with the device. So a blinking light indicates a connection is in progress and a steady light simply means that the functionality is available and you can use it.
Why is my WPS light blinking?
WPS button will blink amber when a connection request is in process. The WPS button will be green when a connection is established. The WPS button will blink red when a connection errors out or a session overlap is detected.
How do you know if your WPS is working?
Verify that the router and the internet capable device supports the WPS feature:
- Look on your modem or router to see if it has a WPS button:
- Go into the Network menu of your internet capable device to see if the WPS option is available.
