Several cryptocurrency exchanges have delisted trading of the XRP token this week following the Securities and Exchange Commission's complaint against its developer, Ripple Labs. Exchanges and finance platforms including Crypto.com, Coinbase, and OKCoin said they were suspending trading of the XRP token.
Will XRP be delisted from exchanges?
Coinbase said Tuesday that it will fully suspend trading XRP on Jan. 19, but will continue providing custodial services for clients. Customers will find it increasingly difficult to trade XRP after the largest exchange joined Bitstamp in delisting the token.
What exchanges removed XRP?
Three smaller crypto exchanges, OSL, Beaxy and CrossTower, have either temporarily suspended XRP trading or removed it entirely. In a further blow, Bitwise Asset Management has liquidated its XRP position, it said in a statement.
