Where Are Dibblers Found?

The dibbler is a solitary, mostly crepuscular species. The dibbler is found in southwestern Western Australia, where it is located on Boullanger Island, Whitlock Island and Escape Island (translocated) off Jurien Bay.

What eats Dibblers?

Threats: The Dibbler is threatened by loss of habitat caused by land clearing, die-back disease and wildfires. Introduced predators such as foxes and cats also prey on them.

What are Numbats related to?

The numbat is a highly distinctive carnivorous (animal-eating) marsupial. It isn't closely related to any living marsupial. One of its closest relatives is the now-extinct thylacine or 'Tasmanian tiger'.
