Do You Label Each Crayon?

Do You Label Each Crayon?

If you're a newcomer to O'ahu, it's fairly common for elementary schools to request parents label every individual item on school supply lists. Yes, this includes every marker, crayon, and, my nemesis, colored pencil.

Should I label crayons?

On larger items or the front of packages of things like crayons, you should still add their name, but for things like pencils, the tape and a small logo (my daughter likes a heart) will do the trick. Kids will easily know which supplies are theirs (and their classmates will, too), just by looking at them!

How do you label individual pencils?

For supplies such as markers, crayons, pencils, glue, and paints, it's always easiest to just go with the basic Sharpie label. Depending on the color, I use a black or silver Sharpie. Scissors are another one that are much easier with Sharpie and I usually just write the name right on one of the blades.
