Is deino a good Pokémon?

Deino's stats are not bad for an unevolved first-stage Pokémon, but for a Pokémon in this part of the game, they leave a bit to be desired. Some attack, but that's it. Its other stats are not too special, and that speed is just ugh.

Why is deino so weak?

What counters Deino? Deino is a Dark/Dragon type Pokémon, which makes it especially weak against Fairy moves, and weak against Fighting, Bug, Ice and Dragon moves.
