Pain, swelling, or soreness at the injection site may occur. Temporary flushing, taste changes, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, sweating, shortness of breath, or bluish lips/skin/nails may also rarely occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Which serious side effect has been reported with phytonadione?
Serious hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactoid reactions and death have been reported with use of injectable phytonadione. The majority of these cases were associated with use of intravenous phytonadione.
Is phytonadione safe?
Phytonadione injection may contain an ingredient that can cause serious side effects or death in very young or premature babies. Do not give this medicine to a child without medical advice. It is not known whether this medicine will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
